Rikki's Refuge in Orange County, Virginia, is a 367 acre, no-kill, all species peaceful sanctuary supported solely by donations of kind and loving individuals. The refuge is home to over 1200 animals of 20 different species, including but not limited to cats, dogs, sheep, goats, rabbits, pigs, emus, chickens, ducks, geese, a chukar, peacocks, and more.

Admission: a minimum of one CASE of cat food per person

This is pristine nature, sturdy hiking shoes and dress for the weather, please wear blaze orange, it is hunting season, although hunting is not permitted on Rikki's Refuge, neighbors maybe hunting on adjoining properties.

The hike takes off at noon sharp!! Don't be late cuz you can't catch up. Gates will open at 11:30

Organized by the International Guild of Realism, The New Reality not only showcases the latest developments in Realist painting around the world, but compares those artworks with their historical predecessors.

Fifty-six artists are represented with sixty-five paintings from the United States, Canada, The Netherlands, Korea, Russia, France, Iceland, Romania, Norway and Finland.

The images are produced in a wide variety of media, giving audiences a survey of how these artists are approaching representational art today.  Additionally each artist was asked to identify one historical painting to compare and contrast their work with the pioneers of Realism. The contributors cited such predecessors as Ingres, Da Vinci, Durer, Vermeer, Harnett, Constable, Memling and Dali as starting points for their own personal exploration into still life, landscape, figurative and narrative themes.
