What is Shop Red?
Shop Red is an opportunity for local and regional vendors of high end specialty gifts and gourmet foods to make their unique wares available to the public. Our objective is to bring distinct businesses together under one roof in support of local under-resourced youth.
R is for Renewal - Breaking the cycle of poverty and preparing the youth for the transition from dependency to self sufficiency.
E is for Empowerment - Faith-based community providing job training, life skills, and mentorships.
D is for Dignity - Instilling self respect, self worth and pride.
Open Hands of Fredericksburg's mission is to:
Partner with the under-resourced in the greater Fredericksburg area to meet their needs for more sustainable employment, adequate transportation, and affordable housing by providing educational growth, long-term committed relationships, economic development, leadership building, and revitalization to the community.
