Bless Lauren's Heart
This is a cause that is close to our hearts. Lauren's grandmother, Debbie Taylor, is an Avery-Hess Real Estate Agent, and this is the second of her grandchildren to be struck by a devastating illness. In December Debbie's grandson, Carter Harris, lost his battle with a brain tumor. We can only imagine what this family has been going through and when we found out they were holding a fundraiser to help pay for Lauren's expensive medical bills, we knew we wanted to help them spread the word.
My name is Lauren Harris. In October 2009 a virus attacked my heart, resulting in a rare heart disease called Myocarditis. I am undergoing treatment at Children's Hospital and am fighting NOT to have a heart transplant. I am lucky to be surrounded by loving family, friends and wonderful doctors. Please join me in my fight against heart disease!
