Help Choose the New James Monroe Sandwich

The James Monroe Museum and Memorial Library has teamed up with the Virginia Deli to create a contest to name a sandwich in honor of our nation's fifth president. They've created two sandwiches reflecting his Virginia heritage and his time spent as minister to France: grilled roast beef and cheddar on sourdough and grilled chicken salad with ham and American cheese on pumpernickel. (I had the latter and thought it was quite tasty :)

Visit the James Monroe Museum to learn more about the man and then head on over to The Virginia Deli to place your vote for the sandwich that will bear his name! The winner will be announced April 15th and added to the regular menu.
